Acupuncture

Acupuncture is part of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which originated over 3500 years ago and includes cupping, moxibustion and chinese herbs. According to chinese nedicine, energy (Qi) flows through pathways in the body called meridians.

In a healthy individual Qi flows freely and is unobstructed. When the Qi in the meridian becomes stagnated or blocked, it causes an imbalance in the body's energy which inturn will result in illness or injury. There are over 500 acupuncture points in the body and stimulating these points using needles can improve the flow of the energy. General acute complaints can be relieved quickly, chronic conditions improve gradually.
