Dr Carmen Marom

Carmen is experienced in treating and managing a range of conditions and injuries. She particularly enjoys working with musicians and artists who, just like sportspeople, benefit from education on injury prevention, posture, breathing, flexibility and strength to allow for better performance. Her Master of Osteopathy research in 2009 and 2010 assessed the effectiveness of Medicare's Chronic Disease Management Scheme (or Enhanced Primary Care) and she often sees patients under this plan to treat conditions as well as the older population.

Carmen is registered with AHPRA, is a member of Osteopathy Australia and the Australian Society for Performing Arts Healthcare. She frequently attends professional development courses which have covered pain, dysfunctional breathing, treatment of professional musicians, kinesiotaping and radial shockwave therapy.

Her interest in working with the body stems from her own experience of having Type 1 diabetes since she was 13 years old. She has attended professional development courses focused around exercise and diabetes and has experience with different management strategies.

Away from the clinic Carmen enjoys seeing performances and live music around Melbourne, cycling, tennis, travelling and playing drums.
