Medicare
The Enhanced Primary Care Initiative allows patients to be eligible for a Medicare rebate for Osteopathic treatment. If your GP feels that you would benefit from Osteopathic treatment, you are entitled to a rebate of $47.85 per treatment for a maximum of 5 treatments in a calendar year. If you provide a Medicare card and Eftpos card we can process the rebate on the spot for you.

Hicaps
We have a HICAPS facility for on the spot health fund claims. Please present your card and you will only be required to pay the gap for your treatment.
Payment is required at time of consultation, cash facilities, credit and EFTPOS are available. Visa & Mastercard are acceptable (not Diners or Amex).
All allied health services are claimable through private health extras cover including: osteopathy, remedial massage and acupuncture. Please check with your health fund on the rebate you will receive for a particular service, depending on your level of private health cover. Don't forget to bring your health fund card to your appointment otherwise payment is required and your receipt can be presented to your health fund for claiming.

Sports Medicine Australia
Our practitioners are members of Sports Medicine Australia and deal with Athletes at an international level. They attend regulasr forums and courses to keep up to date with the latest information in sports medicine.

Victorian Institute of Sport
Coburg Osteopathy has now been affiliated with the VIS for 10 years. We have been involved in the strength and conditioning department looking after the physical preparation of athletes and in the Sports medicine department for both the Golf and Soccer programs.

TAC
We provide treatment to TAC claims as long as we have; a claim number, a refferal from your GP stating the appointment is required in relation to your TAC injury, date of accident and proof that you have paid the first $564.00 to TAC.
TAC patients who were not admitting to hospital are required to reach a threshold of $564 out of pocket expenses before TAC will fund treatment.
Accounts must be settled privately at time of consultation if these details cannot be provided.

Workcover
If you have suffered a workplace injury presently or in the past we can treat you and design a return to work program for you.
Please bring with you to your first consultation:
- A referral from your GP
- Your Claim Number if you have one
- The name of the Insurer looking after your claim
- The name of your employer and verification that your employer is prepared to pay for your visit
- The Date of Injury
- A copy of your Work Cover Certificate from your doctor
- Any correspondence you have received from Work Cover, your insurer or workplace which relates to your injury.
Without these details, you will be required to pay at the time of consultation then seek personal reimbursement.
